Do you own an Alpha Cooker, does it need replacement parts? Read on for a brief history of the Alpha Cooker and what services we aim to provide.

The Alpha Range Cooker was developed by a small group of people with a vast knowledge of range cookers and heating back in 1994. The main aim of the Alpha Cooker was to apply traditional materials and manufacturing processes to utilise the latest technology to provide a luxury cast iron range cooker with vast amounts of cooking space and the facility to provide central heating and hot water.

The Alpha Cooker was powered by pressure jet oil or blown gas burners, both running independently from one another so as to provide maximum heat to either the boiler or the cooker. Both of these burners where thermostatically controlled, making the whole unit extremely efficient. Unlike other range cookers the Alpha was not a heat store type cooker.

Hand made and crafted from cast iron with a choice of over fourteen strong vitreous enamel coatings the Alpha Cooker would become the focal point in any kitchen. Easy to use the Alpha Cooker was fully programmable allowing the user to independently control the heating, hot water and cooking times to come on or off up to three times a day, seven days a week.

The alpha was available in gas up to 120,000 Btu’s and oil up to 160,000 Btu’s. A cooker only version or “dry cooker” was also available. Some of these models where available with a fan flue option allowing the Alpha Cooker to be installed on an outside wall without the need of a conventional chimney.

In September of 2005 Alpha cookers (UK) Ltd went into receivership and part of the company was purchased by the AGA group, and production of the Alpha cooker unfortunately ceased at its facility in Thatcham, Berkshire. As yet we do not know if production will restart with the AGA group, so to keep your Alpha cooker in perfect order, here we are!

At Alpha Cooker Spares we have a vast knowledge of the Alpha Cooker and are able to support existing owners of an Alpha Cooker by providing an outlet to quickly and easily purchase replacement parts. We aim to dispatch all parts within 48 hours of receiving your order but please contact us if you need the parts sooner as we aim to reduce the down time of your cooker wherever possible. We are constantly updating the online store with new products as they become available. Should you need a part that is not listed please contact us, and we will do our best to source it for you.
